Iveagh Gardens
A park hidden behind the National Concert Hall, take a few minutes to rest and contemplate its waterfall!
Description of the place
The Iveagh Gardens They are one of the quietest and least-known corners of Dublin city center. Despite being located just minutes from St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street, many tourists pass by without discovering this charming green space.
The park combines classic landscape design with unusual elements such as an artificial waterfall, a grotto, and a shrubbery labyrinth. It also features statues, open rest areas, and tree-lined paths, making it an oasis of peace amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
Its history dates back to the 19th century and its name comes from the Guinness family, who donated these gardens to the city.
Bring a snack and take advantage of the tables at the back or a shady spot. It's one of the few parks downtown where you can truly unwind without the crowds. Ideal for a break if you're walking from the castle or the Camden Street area.
